I just bought those bars yesterday - I'm in good company.

Great shot!

Okay,
1. punch 'lago di tenno, italy' into google maps.
2. go about 500 metres to the south west of the bottom left hand corner of the lake.
3. Change to the satellite view if you aren't already.

That long caterpiller looking thing is the 'stairway'.

If someone can find a link to a tourist's photo of the thing, post the link please. I'm done.

I'm still trying to find a tourist shot of the thing.

Looks like the spillway of a dam. Perhaps designed to allow some aquatic life to ascend into the dam or perhaps just to look pretty. I'm sure this is not the ONLY photo on the internet of this place.

The drop behind the rider looks about five feet high. It looks perfectly doable for a good rider. Not photoshopped. Why would anyone bother?

If nosewheely told us the name of the place you could Google images in a heartbeat - probably with people standing in front of the drops. And then everyone who says its photoshopped would look like a tool!

Backbox is SRAM's division that make prototype stuff for their riders. Some of the technology makes its way into/onto Production stuff. You can't buy it. You can only earn it.

I've had 3 hours on a Schlumpf Speed Drive. You don't have to move your feet much. Once you get used to it, you won't shift when you don't want to, and you will shift when you want to. And like the Hammerschmidt (the real copycat here) you won't drop a chain or have front derailler woes. When the Tirebwerk comes out, I'm getting one for sure. The minimum ring size on the Speed Drive is 27T which is not small enough for the super steep hills I climb. If it was smaller, I'd have one already. They rock.

I guess the people that gave me negative props don't know that Specialized is based in Morgan Hill. If Sam Hill changes his name to Morgan, he will now be Morgan Hill. Do I have to explain everything to you sixteen year olds?
